NCG has partnered with the National Center for Family Philanthropy (NCFP) to give members direct, free access to NCFP's monthly webinars for family giving. Additionally, NCG members also have free access to NCFP's extensive database of resources for philanthropic families that work with them in their online Knowledge Center.
We will explore the ABFE approach to grantmaking with a racial equity lens. ABFE's framework, analysis, and tools provide opportunities for grantmakers to support Black communities, and, more broadly, our greater society. ABFE has created a set of tools that reduce gaps in racial disparities facing Blacks in the United States. By centering systemic anti-Black racism within an intersectional framework through which we understand the social, economic, historical, and cultural dimensions of human life, we can conduct grantmaking practices that address inequities across communities.
Northern California Grantmakers' office is in San Francsico, CA and hosts events all over the Bay Area. The NCG team works in a hybrid environment.

Our sustainers support and bolster NCG’s efforts to deliver programs and offerings that intentionally gather people, lift up effective practices that mobilize the field, and transform philanthropy as a whole to advance racial equity in our region. Additionally, this support gives NCG the opportunity to go deeper, explore new ideas, adapt when necessary, and to experiment with transformative approaches.
