As dedicated grantmakers, your commitment to supporting impactful initiatives and making the California dream come true for all has not gone unnoticed. We believe that this holiday season is the perfect time to express our gratitude and celebrate your invaluable contributions to creating a more equitable world.
At this year’s Corporate Philanthropy Institute, we’ll explore what it means to create a new pathway and build new standards. We’ll highlight the pressures (both external and internal), offer context under which we’re doing our work today, share replicable strategies, provide tools for you to take back home to your company, and most importantly, offer space to be with others in the field wrestling with and seeking answers.
APPLICATIONS CLOSE AUGUST 18TH, 2023.
Through Northern California Grantmakers’ Racial Equity Action Institute (REAI), participants will gain knowledge, lessons, and tools for developing actionable strategies in their institutions to advance racial equity with field experts and each other. One sector on its own cannot solve the challenges of racial inequities. Our cohort learning program connects specialists in racial equity from philanthropy, business, government, and nonprofits. By deepening our relationships and the connectivity of those in our ecosystem who are committed to change and justice, so much is possible.
Every year, NCG hosts two conferences bringing together hundreds of members to learn, disrupt, and gather together.
NCG inspires our members to connect to their individual and shared purpose. We create space to celebrate one another, learn together, and leverage our strengths. NCG brings our members and partners together, as we engage both hearts and minds to rethink what’s possible.
Reaching consensus is difficult, particularly during a decision-making moment that will have a real impact on your philanthropy. How do you have productive conversations during meetings and other decision points when there are relationship dynamics, conflict, or simply differences of opinion? How do you allow for individual viewpoints across generations, but ensure there is a framework in place to push the collective goals of the philanthropy forward? Are there tips to facilitate productive meetings, especially when there are complex family dynamics at play? Learn strategies to manage dynamics, build in moments for family connection, and facilitate group decision-making.
CCJFG Membership Meetings are structured, yet informal spaces for California criminal justice funders to learn, collaborate and get organized together.
