The NCG Funders for Climate Justice Group is a collaboration with Smart Growth California and the League of California Community Foundations. We invite funders who are interested in or are already funding at the intersection of climate justice and resilience to join us and to share and provide input as we collectively learnand take action on critical climate justice challenges and opportunities. Discussion topics in the group will focus on intersectional issues relating to climate justice, as well as philanthropic and community-based practices and trends relevant to northern California’s 48-county region. The National Center for Family Philanthropy (NCFP) and Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors (RPA) are pleased to announce a multi-session Learning and Action Cohort for family philanthropies and individual donors who are significantly scaling up their philanthropy. Once a foundation or other form of philanthropy reaches a certain size, more robust practices and approaches are required in order to maximize impact. This program will support and guide families and professional staff as they adopt the necessary organizational changes to support an influx of assets with peer learning, hands-on workshops, consultation, and expert guidance from others who have successfully maneuvered similar transitions.
Join Rise Economy and the California Community Land Trust Network for a funders-only virtual
briefing and conversation with foundation, public sector and community leaders on the
importance of corporate accountability in tackling the housing crisis. Presenters will share policy
strategies to address the capital gap by increasing banking sector investment in affordable
housing and BIPOC homeownership. Moderated by Dr. Manuel Pastor, funders will learn about
how these campaigns could generate significant resources and data to address the state's
affordable housing crisis, stabilize neighborhoods, and build climate resilience.

Please join the California Youth Organizing Funders Collaborative for a discussion focused on the power and impact of investing in youth organizing as a strategy that supports a broad array of foundation and donor priorities - from youth development, to climate change, to mental health and well-being to power and movement building and leadership development for a truly just, inclusive and equitable California. This session will provide historical context, resources, dialogue with youth organizers and learning between practitioners in philanthropy who seek to invest in youth power and youth leadership development.
