Announcing Arron Jiron as Director for Member Engagement
NCG is excited to announce Arron Jiron (he/him) as its new Director for Member Engagement. As the lead of the membership team, Arron oversees emergent partnerships, membership engagement, and key programming to strengthen NCG’s strategic vision. Arron brings experience as a social entrepreneur and strategic advisor working within philanthropy, educations, and nonprofit leaders to support public systems to better serve low-income communities.
NCG’s membership is at the center of its strategy to transform philanthropy. Arron will focus on cultivating relationships with current and potential members while creating new opportunities for engagement with statewide and national efforts. He will also be providing members clear pathways to be inspired, activated, and mobilized.
“We’re thrilled to introduce the NCG member community to Arron,” said NCG’s President and CEO, Dwayne S. Marsh. “His experience will directly support our members and stakeholders to push boundaries and engage collaboratively.”
Arron started his career in anti-poverty work. He’s worked with sun setting foundations, policy and systems improvement, STEM education, and whole child development programs.
When asked about his new role and vision for the sector Arron shared “I’m excited to join NCG in its efforts to help transform philanthropy to advance racial equity and justice. Northern California communities are facing an array of challenges that require systemic solutions driven by the community. The need for philanthropy to get its work right, by empowering communities, has never been more important.” Arron’s experience in philanthropy and organizations pushing systems change will help modernize membership engagement.
