About Government Membership

Government entities are eligible for NCG membership. Government membership is non-transferrable and active for one calendar year. You may arrange to pay on a different fiscal year schedule. NCG is tax exempt under IRS section 501(c)(3). For purposes of completing form 990-PF, all dues in excess of $750 may be reported as a grant rather than as administrative expenses. Payment and documentation may be submitted following your application.

Eligibility

Government Membership is open to government entities who give up to $100,000 to $25 million annually. Government entities who give more than $25 million, please refer to our Grantmaker Membership page. Government departments from cities, counties, or state government must join as individual departments.

Government Dues

Government Members support NCG through a flat rate annual contribution of $1,500. Your membership is good for one full year. No refund or cancellation is available.
