Protecting our Democracy in 2024 Funder Briefing

With so much attention focused on critical 2024 fights occurring around the nation, it is easy to miss that our democracy is on the ballot here at home as well. Join local democracy leaders from Bay Rising and California Common Cause for an intimate conversation about local attacks on democracy and the critical work happening now to defend it.

Join us on Thursday, July 11th from 11am-12:30 pm at the San Francisco Foundation offices for a conversation co-hosted by San Francisco Foundation, Haas Jr Fund and Northern California Grantmakers. Leaders from San Francisco Rising, Oakland Rising, Silicon Valley Rising, and California Common Cause will discuss attacks on democracy reforms in San Francisco and Oakland coming from powerful actors, and the opportunity for longer-term democracy advancement in San Jose.

From the local to the national arena, our democracy is on the ballot in 2024, and we must ensure wins at all levels to grow our multiracial pro-democracy movement.
