Northern California Grantmakers (NCG) and the Asset Funders Network (AFN) invited funders to hear from the Aspen Institute Future of Work Initiative, the Indy Worker Guild , and the National Domestic Workers Alliance to develop an understanding of the opportunities and challenges of the gig economy. We also explored potential policy and other solutions that might support the particular needs of low-wage workers in this new area of the economy.
