This Migration Policy Institute report examines the educational experiences and outcomes of first- and second-generation immigrant youth ages 16 to 26 across California’s educational institutions, encompassing secondary schools, adult education, and post-secondary education.

Breakout Session | Pushing the Envelope for a Better California

Communities of color were disproportionately impacted by the unprecedented events of 2020. They experienced greater chances of contracting and dying of covid-19, becoming unemployed, and were more likely to be physically and/or emotionally impacted by racist actions and systems. This called for unprecedented actions from philanthropy, and many rose to the call – disrupting business as usual and finding new ways to advance racial equity and social justice.
