Disaster Resilience, Relief and Recovery Events
It feels like 2020 has lasted 15 years. The Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP) team started following COVID-19 in January while we were also responding to the Australian wildfires and the earthquakes in Puerto Rico.
The current wildfires are affecting tens of thousands of northern Californians, forcing widespread evacuations, burning homes and structures, causing air pollution, and disrupting the fragile livelihoods of people and communities already responding to COVID-19.
