Last week NCG member the Stuart Foundation announced the retirement of its long-serving President, Christy Pichel.
"Over the years as President, Christy has represented the Foundation through her service to several philanthropic and educational organizations, including the Board of the Center for Effective Philanthropy, the Board of Northern California Grantmakers and the President’s Roundtable of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
It is a testament to Christy’s leadership and guidance that the Stuart Foundation today is viewed highly by our grantee partners, public entities and peers in the philanthropic community. Under her presidency, we have continuously sharpened our focus for what is really important in program strategies that have yielded improved and impactful results for children and youth, whose educational, experiential, living conditions and life opportunities we seek to ameliorate."
Christy’s retirement will take effect summer of 2014. NCG thanks Christy for her leadership over the years and wishes her well.
