Philanthropy California’s three regional associations are partnering with national thought leader Nonprofit Finance Fund on an exciting new movement in philanthropy. Together we are joining efforts across the country in an initiative called the Full Cost Project, aimed at meeting the true needs of the social sector by providing funding that is honest in its assessment of the full cost for delivering outcomes.
The next phase of this initiative is a groundbreaking series of trainings for funders and nonprofits across California that will unpack the key elements of why—and even more importantly, how—you can incorporate Full Cost funding into your work. Below are three workshops designed to take you through the essentials of the Full Cost approach, including engaging trustees and other stakeholders and the brass tacks of implementation.
Many of us recognize that nonprofits are built with remarkable resourcefulness—but what is less commonly understood is how funding constraints often threaten their delivery of social good. By getting involved in this exciting statewide effort around Full Cost, you are helping to bring important best practices into the mainstream for funders and the nonprofits that provide essential services to communities across the country.
