Congratulations to NCG member and Bigglesworth Family Foundation Managing Director Claire Solot who was honored at OneJustice network’s annual Opening Doors to Justice awards reception. She was recognized for her outstanding commitment to strengthening the legal services sector and for supporting and transforming the civic legal aid sector in California.
In 2009, Claire approached OneJustice with the idea for a comprehensive nonprofit management training program for legal services leaders that builds a new set of skills around effective fundraising, marketing, communications, strategic planning, program evaluation, and board development. Claire launched OneJustice’s Executive Fellowship program, bringing much needed learning to legal services executives. The result–the OneJustice Executive Fellowship–is now in its 5th year, and is about to graduate its 100th Fellow.
Claire also recently co-founded the Bay Area Legal Services Funders Network, which unites various funders who are dedicated to supporting civil legal service organizations as a poverty alleviation strategy.
