NCG is pleased to announce that David Greco has been hired as the organization’s interim President and CEO, starting on January 1, 2014.
David brings more than 25 years of experience in driving the growth of social sector organizations working for a more just and equitable world. He is joining NCG after more than 5 years as Vice President of the Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF) where he led much of NFF’s funder services work including partnerships with NCG, Southern California Grantmakers (SCG), Philanthropy Northwest and Grantmakers for Effective Organizations (GEO).

We know that NCG is in good hands and will continue efforts to amplify the impact of philanthropy in northern California,” said Judy Patrick, NCG Board Chair and The Women’s Foundation of California President & CEO.
Previously David served as Vice President of the Youth Leadership Institute where he built their training and consulting services. His background also includes working as the Corporate and Foundation Relations Manager for the National Wildlife Federation and the Director of Programs for the Horatio Alger Association.
David is the author of “Nonprofit Financial Management” featured in “Nonprofit Management 101: A Complete and Practical Guide for Leaders and Professionals.”
“I am particularly excited about this opportunity because I believe NCG can offer a unified voice for philanthropy in northern California, serve as a champion to the great work being done by its members, and be a leader in developing new approaches to more effectively link philanthropy to outcomes,” said David Greco.
David will serve as the interim President and CEO until the Board Transition team completes its nationwide search for a permanent President and CEO later this year.
