As a life-long resident, I’ve never been more proud than now to be a Californian.
Amid the loud rhetoric and heated debate of the day, one can literally feel the upwelling of support for the human values and welcoming traditions that are the virtual watermark of our state. Anyone who knows the history of California knows that it has been the great flow of immigration that continually refreshes and revitalizes our culture, creativity and productivity.
There is no better time than the present to celebrate and defend California’s dynamic force.
That’s why we created a statement from MCF, California Rising, which you'll see below.
As a community foundation, we are committed to doing everything we can to uphold the values and traditions that make California, California.
