Announcing our Special Guest

Join me on Wednesday, May 25th at NCG’s Annual Conference, The Power of Now. I am honored to pay tribute to my dear friend Prince and his legacy as a generous philanthropist.

I’m excited to reconnect with you, my friends and colleagues, in Northern California. We are at a crucial moment – we have much work ahead and we need to come together as a community to collectively make real change happen. See you there!

Van Jones, President & Co-Founder, Dream Corps.

About our Closing Plenary

What do the rise of Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump tell us about voter attitudes regarding our political system? What are the implications of current election-year events and recent trends in Congressional (in)action for our democracy? How do funders reflect and engage these shifts? In what ways does civic engagement matter most right now? What is at stake?

Join us in our closing plenary 2016 Elections: Whiskey, Tango Foxtrot, to hear what is making our speakers hopeful this election cycle. Our stacked line-up will also discuss why this election year is more important than ever and why trends of fear and seclusion are being used to brand it.

Our moderator Scott Shafer will live-poll the audience with questions for the speakers to address.

Sneak preview: Vocal Rush Performs

Vocal Rush is a three-time national champion a cappella group based out of Oakland School for the Arts. Comprised of singers ages 15 - 18, these artists will be key to our Prince tribute with Van Jones. Look at part of their championship performance and find out why we chose them for our conference below.
