2015 Next Gen Fellowship in Mission-Related Investing Now Accepting Nominations

Friday, December 12, 2014

The Next Gen Fellowship Program is a 6-month intensive peer-to-peer learning program for trustees and individual donors seeking to align their values with the management of their assets. It is run by Confluence Philanthropy and Resource Generation.

Next Gen Fellows work together to answer the following question:  How can the next generation of donors leverage the full weight of their philanthropic assets and personal resources for social change?

Previous Fellows have moved millions of investable dollars towards the issues that they care about, such as sustainable development in Native American communities; affordable housing in low-income city neighborhoods; public education; and sustainable agriculture. No matter your passion, the Next Gen Fellowship will help strengthen your capacity for social change and the alignment of your assets with your philanthropic goals.

Program Design

  • Two in-person learning retreats co-led by Dana Lanza, CEO of Confluence Philanthropy, Investment Experts, and Edie Farwell, professional leadership coach. (The full group will meet once on the west coast and once on the east coast)
  • Two investment “faculty advisors” to deeply support the learnings of Fellows throughout the program. This year’s faculty is staff at Federal Street Advisors and Veris Wealth Partners.
  • Five webinars lead by industry leaders in Mission-Related Investing
  • Monthly peer-to-peer support calls led by a professional leadership coach
  • Access to Confluence and Resource Generation-related events and membership networks
  • The opportunity to self-organize regional gatherings (some coordination support can be provided)
