Position overview

The Talent Operations Coordinator is an organized, detail-oriented professional responsible for a wide range of administrative and operations activities in the HR and Talent space. This role keeps the “trains running on time” to ensure that staff are supported and talent processes are effective. You will bring a strong understanding of the HR/Talent space and a perspective that will aid in grounding Tipping Point’s processes with an equity focus.                                                       

The Talent Operations Coordinator is on the Finance and Operations team, works closely with the Head of Talent and reports to the COO.  

What will you do?

  • Coordinate and liaise with Tipping Point’s professional employer organization (PEO) to ensure all HR administrative and record-keeping activities are compliant and meeting organizational needs, including the on- and off-boarding process, personnel file maintenance, benefits administration, auditing, 403b administration, and job/ pay change activities.

  • Ensure smooth and efficient processes that are streamlined, compliant and excellently executed every time.

  • Collect and report HR data and lead on all internal and external reporting needs (turnover, audits, employee engagement, etc).

  • Support hiring through administering job postings and applicant tracking database, tracking recruiting data, and coordinating hiring process between hiring managers and PEO

  • Steward organizational culture, values, and employer brand and support the integration of them into daily operations.

  • Coordinate and project manage performance management and professional development processes and administer through online platform (Lattice).

  • Manage office events and activities including Tipping Point’s annual Play Day and holiday party, as well as bi-weekly All-Hands meetings

All other duties as assigned.

Who are you?

  • You have at least 2-3 years relevant professional HR/Talent experience, including familiarity with key HR and Talent terms and processes

  • You are super organized. You are able to navigate ambiguity and prioritize workload in a timely manner to complete assignment when faced with many deadlines and competing requirements.

  • You are a relationship builder. You are skilled in partnership development, customer service, and relationship management.

  • You use discretion and strong judgment skills to protect confidential or sensitive information

  • You are flexible. You have a demonstrated ability to be shift in the face of changing environments, and be persistent in the face of obstacles

  • You act as a team player. You recognize you are part of a whole and have a track record of being able to work effectively across different groups of people.

  • You are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as Tipping Point’s mission and values.

Nice to have*:

  • Experience in the nonprofit or philanthropic sector

  • Experience with Lattice or Greenhouse (or similar ATS and PM systems)

  • Managerial experience

Salary + classification

Tipping Point is committed to paying competitive wages. In an effort to increase equity, because we know that salary negotiations tend to have an unfair bias, we do not participate in a salary negotiation process for any candidate. We will make our best offer, and it will be the same regardless of the candidate. The annual starting salary for the Talent Operations Coordinator role is $86,000. This is a non-exempt position as defined by state and federal law. Non-exempt employees paid on an hourly basis and are eligible for overtime pay.
