ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a full-time, exempt position in Mountain View, California.

Silicon Valley Community Foundation is seeking to fill two (2) full-time Philanthropy Advisor positions.  

SVCF’s work environment is based on a holistic wellness approach and therefore, has embraced a hybrid remote/office work environment. All SVCF team members must be based and hold residency in California and must be able to regularly attend team and staff meetings, trainings and other gatherings in Mountain View when required.  This position is required to be in the office twice a week.

All SVCF employees are required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. New employees will be required to provide proof of full vaccination prior to onboarding. New employees can be considered for a medical or religious accommodation by providing the appropriate accommodation documentation.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Vice President of Donor Engagement, the Philanthropy Advisors develop trusted partnerships with a portfolio of donors by supporting their journey to become effective philanthropists. These positions facilitate all aspects of donor giving and grantmaking, provides strategic guidance and stay abreast of philanthropic best practices. In addition, they help raise donor awareness of local community needs by understanding the pressing issues in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties, and by facilitating connections to SVCF-supported initiatives. As invaluable members of the Donor Engagement team, they will also contribute to cross-departmental initiatives, including developing and sharing resources to further donor impact.
