The Smart Growth California statewide funder convening is for funders from throughout California and the nation who are working to create healthy, equitable, and sustainable communities and regions in California.
The 2017 funder convening will cover a wide range of topics including: the 2016 elections; affordable housing and displacement; climate change, cap-and-trade, and disadvantaged communities; the drought and water issues; innovations in regional planning; building power and civic engagement; and supporting access to opportunity for all Californians, particularly low-income residents. The convening is being produced in partnership with The San Diego Foundation, San Diego Grantmakers, the University of San Diego, The California Endowment, California Community Foundation, and the Jacobs Center.

The statewide funder convening will be held in San Diego from February 8-10, 2017.
