Do you want to heighten board involvement and maximize your board’s impact?

Join the San Francisco Bay Area Local Engagement Group (LEG) for a peer-to-peer conversation on board engagement. You will have the opportunity to share experiences with fellow funders and ask questions about successful strategies for engaging your board in grantmaking, due diligence, site visits, and capacity building. Come prepared to participate in a rich and fruitful dialogue about what has worked for you, as well as ask difficult questions in a safe and confidential space.

Thank you to Local Engagement Group leaders Rajiv Khanna of IDEX and Jayne Booker of Avant! Foundation for facilitating this program.

About the LEG Partnership

Northern California Grantmakers and Exponent Philanthropy (formerly known as the Association of Small Foundations) have partnered to host San Francisco Bay Area Local Engagement Group (LEG) meetings to provide additional learning opportunities for members of both organizations. The local LEG began in 2013 as a pilot along with 5 other regional associations of grantmakers and ASF to explore effective and sustainable ways to support learning for small staff organizations. NCG will continue to offer its other programming for its Family Philanthropy Exchange members in addition to the LEG meetings. Programming for each LEG will be informed by local participants' interests and may include guest speakers, panel discussions, roundtable peer dialogues and networking events on a variety of topics relevant to small-staff philanthropists.
