Back again in 2016, by popular demand!
For grantmakers, knowing how to evaluate a grantee's current financial health is more important than ever. Given today's competitive operating environment, it is imperative that a grantmaker has a comprehensive picture of a grantee's financial performance to better assist in times of a grantee's growth or crisis phase.
By aligning grant dollars to the financial and business needs of nonprofit organizations, grantmakers can better support nonprofit financial sustainability and leverage their limited resources to achieve better and more results. But in order to do so, it is critical that grantmakers have the ability to assess the financial health and condition of the organizations they support.
Northern California Grantmakers is pleased to offer our wildly popular Financial Analysis 201 workshop. This interactive training will provide grantmakers with the tools to better understand nonprofit financial health, specifically:
- Understanding the challenges of nonprofit finance, especially in uncertain economic times;
- Asking the right questions and using assessment tools for engaging grantees in discussions about financial management challenges; and
- Discussing a framework to structure support for long-term sustainability and impact.
Grantmakers who currently have a good working knowledge of reviewing nonprofit financial data and are looking to increase their understanding of nonprofit financial health.
