The 2020 election pushed representative democracy to the breaking point. With our expert panelists, we will break down the results and outline potential breakthroughs to renew free and fair elections both in California and nationally.
- How well did our democratic structures do to withstand voter suppression, voter intimidation, and cybersecurity threats?
- Were citizens able to vote safely and efficiently during the COVID-19 pandemic?
- Did the media respond responsibly to engage the public to ensure all votes were counted?
- What impact did forward-thinking voting rights policies have, especially in California, in closing voter participation disparities by race and age?
- What impact did philanthropy play in preserving a free and fair election?
- What steps can be taken to renew democracy ahead of the Georgia Senate runoffs and how can philanthropy support these efforts?
