Some of you may remember a conversation we convened in early 2015 titled with this same name. It was a time of momentous change in the upper ranks of some of the Bay Area’s most prominent foundations, as the CEOs of over a dozen of our members either left their role or moved into their position in 2014/2015.
Transitions at this level have deep effects on the organizations themselves, and, more broadly, on the philanthropic community and the communities we serve. We’ve invited several of the participants from that 2015 meeting back to give us an update, two years later. We’ll ask what they are learning, the opportunities they are finding, and the challenges they are confronting within the current economic, policy, and philanthropic landscape. We’ll also talk with several recently appointed CEOs, as well as a few who are currently transitioning out of their roles, about their hopes for the future.
A reception will follow the program. Attendees will have the opportunity for one-on-one conversations with the leaders who have shaped and are shaping philanthropy in the Bay Area.
