Beginning in July, CCJFG will hold membership meetings on the third Friday of every other month. Please see the schedule for 2020 below.
These membership meetings are intended to be a structured, yet informal space for California criminal justice funders to engage one another about current issues, challenges, and highlights within our sector of philanthropy. This is a co-created space designed to support funders to learn, collaborate, and get organized.
Each meeting will have a focused topic and will be lightly facilitated, with an emphasis on discussion. Please contact CACriminalJusticeFunders@ncg.org with your suggestions for discussion topics, including questions you have, support you need, and/or funder initiatives you’d like to learn more about.
Our first membership meeting will be on Friday, July 17th from 10-11:30AM and will focus on the Movement for Black Lives mandate to fund Black-led organizing and how we can transform the culture of anti-blackness that is present in the grantmaking process and philanthropy, at large.
