Northern California Grantmakers is pleased to co-host the following meeting in partnership with Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees.
Last week’s drastic changes in federal immigration policy related to the elimination of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA, will have deep impacts in California. Research indicates that California is the state with the most DACA beneficiaries in the entire country.
In order to draw increased attention to this issue for our members, the California Immigrant Integration Initiative (CIII), coordinated by Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees (GCIR), invites NCG, SCG and SDG members to join the next meeting. The September 13th meeting will focus on strategy development and coordination needed at this time. Attendance is welcomed even if your foundation is not a member of GCIR. The first half of the meeting will focus on DACA and the second half on regularly scheduled CIII business.
You can attend the in person meeting or join in by phone. If you want to attend in person, please RSVP to Stephanie Martinez at firstname.lastname@example.org and let her know if you will be in person in SF, or joining remotely.
