How do we create more equitable relationships in our work and life? What is the future of employee engagement and how does it intersect with the concept of allyship?
That’s what this session will explore. We’ll consider how employee volunteering might provide insight to the concept of allyship as well as a practical and safe place for immersive learning. Employee engagement will be explored in contexts where we intend to provide community support but may not understand the situation or issues. Using this as a framework we’ll consider how many of the same dynamics and perspectives should be applied at the workplace. We’ll also touch upon how volunteering can help with building equity and empathy in peer relationships at work and in life.
