CEO Message

“How can it be that people still sleep in the streets in the richest nation in the world? Dr. King would hold his head and weep. We need a new paradigm of what is morally/ethically right and wrong."

It is with enormous gratitude that I write to say thank you, as we ready ourselves for a holiday break.

I am always happy to predict the future. I do it all the time. Really- just call me sometime and you will end up with at least one or two juicy predictions. In fact, I’ll give you one right now...

We came. We authenticated. We envisioned. The Corporate Philanthropy Institute opened some big questions. If you were there, thank you. Thank you for coming, and thank you for bringing your energy, your curiosity, your questions, your knowledge, your insights, and your know-how with you into the room.

As we say goodbye to summer and move into a busy fall season, I’m excited by the many opportunities we will have to connect with colleagues, discuss the issues with which we are grappling, share triumphs and learnings, strengthen our relationships as we explore possibilities for collaboration.

Wow! What an exhilarating day. Thank you for spending a day with us. Thank you for bringing your curiosity, your passion, and your intelligence to the conversations, plenaries, and sessions throughout the day. Thank you for your investing in our community.

NCG’s 2015 Annual Conference is right around the corner. I can’t think of a better way to get to know you all—by coming together to discuss the issues impacting the communities in which we work and live.

Hello! I am delighted to be joining Northern California Grantmakers at this moment in time. NCG has a long and distinguished pedigree. Many of the leading thinkers in philanthropy founded and have helped shape our organization over the years. We have a history of achievement about which we all can be proud.

As 2014 comes to a close, NCG Interim President and CEO David Greco reflects on how NCG has worked to better serve our members.
