When: September 12 - 13, 2019 | 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

If you're new to philanthropy, or interested in sharpening your skills, NCG's signature program, New Grantmakers Institute (NGI): Grantmaking for the 21st Century, helps build your understanding of best practices for ethical and effective grantmaking, and helps you place yourself within the ecosystem that you are a part of. In this two-day, highly interactive training, participants have the opportunity to engage with your peers around the opportunities and challenges of grantmaking within the current day context. In addition to developing a network of peers, participants will have the opportunity to hear directly from seasoned philanthropic leaders and become familiar with resources available to support your continued professional development.

NCG’s New Grantmakers Institute has been running nearly as long as the organization itself. We asked participants from years past what advice they would offer their future selves, thinking back on their first days in philanthropy.

October 15, 2015

This year, Kate Seely designed NCG's 2015 New Grantmakers Institute, a two-day workshop welcoming people to the field. Hear what attendees had to say.

September 15, 2015
