Rosenberg Foundation helps garner over $4M in back wages for garment workers, brings garment worker abuses to national attention

Through support of litigation of the El Monte sweatshop case, The Rosenberg Foundation helped to garner more than $4 million in back wages and damages for the workers, increased industry compliance with labor laws, and raised the issue of garment worker abuses on the national agenda.   This effort greatly contributed to the creation of AB 633 (the Sweatshop Accountability Bill, 1999), landmark legislation to hold all parts of the garment industry accountable for compliance with labor laws.
